Ted Wagner, NAMS-CMS has accumulated over 38 years in the boating industry.  He started out building and repairing classic wooden sailboats at a prominent east coast shipyard for eleven years.  He then became a service manager for another boatyard, located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, where he built fiberglass vessels and continued to repair vessels of all kinds.  Ted dedicated nearly 20 years as service manager at this boatyard, helping to turn the business around, improve the education of the crew and the quality of the work performed, and guide the yard through many a Chesapeake Bay-bound hurricane.

During his career, Ted has been responsible for hauling, building, servicing, and/or surveying over 4,000 vessels.  He is a member of both the National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS; www.nams-cms.org) and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC; www.abycinc.org).  Ted’s years and breadth of experience lend themselves to the seriousness with which he takes his work and the thoroughness that goes into every survey he does.

Ted has been a resident of the Mid-Atlantic region his entire life.  He and his wife Terry, also a Chesapeake Bay native, raised three daughters on the Eastern Shore of Maryland who all went on to graduate from the University of Maryland at College Park.  Ted is also a proud grandfather who enjoys spending time with his grandson, Jonah, and has another grandson on the way!
